Melody Starr Alexander, Our Princess You are the love that lights our path, the love that we share, our baby girl. Now you will always be sitting in the palm of God’s hand. Your smile we will never forget and your laugh we will always hear. Your little kisses we will always feel and Mommy and Daddy will always hold you in our hearts. So special you were from the day you were born. You are always going to be our Baby Girl, the one we love, the one we adore. God holds you now, but we hold you within our hearts and souls. We love you baby girl and one day in heaven we will meet again and we will never be apart. Written by Daddy, Sonny AlexanderFOREVER 1 YEAR 6 MONTHS AND 17 DAYS OLD

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.  Mommy worked very hard on making this memorial page for me so please be sure to take the time to click on the words at the left and check out all the pictures in my Gallery, please read my Life Story, as short as my time on earth was.  Look to the left, click on Audio/Video and you can see the video my mommy made for me.  Also, if you have a memory of me, please leave it for my mommy and daddy so they may take comfort in how much I was loved and what a wonderful spirit I had.  Also you can feel free to light a candle or leave condolences.  Mommy and Daddy always appreciate any comfort they can get to help them make it day-to-day without me there.

I EARNED MY WINGS IN FEBRUARY

My Mom is a Survivor

My Mom is a survivor,
or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear her crying at night
when all others are in bed.

I watch her lay awake at night
and go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her
to help her understand.

But like the sands on the beach
that never wash away....
I watch over my surviving Mom
who thinks of me each day.

She wears a smile for others...
a smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door
I see tears flowing from her eyes.

My Mom tries to cope with death;
To keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows
it is her way to survive.

As I watch over my surviving Mom
through Heaven's open door...
I try to tell her that angels
protect me forevermore!

I know that doesn't help her,
or ease the burden she bears.
So, if you get a chance, go visit her.
Show her that you care.

For no matter what she says...
no matter what she feels.
My surviving Mom has a broken heart
that time won't ever heal.

My Dad is a Survivor

My dad is a survivor too
which is no surprise to me.
He's always been like a lighthouse
that helps you cross a stormy sea.

But, I walk with my dad each day
to lift him when he's down.
I wipe the tears he hides from others;
He cries when no one's around.

I watch him sit up late at night
with my picture in his hand.
He cries as he tries to grieve alone,
and wishes he could understand.

My dad is like a tower of strength.
He's the greatest of them all!
But, there are times when he needs to cry...
Please be there when he falls.

Hold his hand or pat his shoulder...
And tell him it's okay.
Be his strength when he's sad,
Help him mourn in his own way.

Now, as I watch over my precious dad
from the Heavens up above...
I'm so proud that he's a survivor...
And, I can still feel his love.

I’M AN ANGEL

Where I am now you cannot see,
For I am spirit, fancy free.
Where shadows end, no day or night;
I am in heaven, in the light.
And so wherever you may roam,
Remember now that I am home.
Quite different to the one I left;
It’s sad to see you’re still bereft.
So here I stay where there is peace.
No hurt, no pain, just sweet release.

I was the product of your love
A child sent down from up above,
To walk a brief time there with you;
A life of hope and meaning too.
I know you wanted me to stay
And even though you knelt to pray,
The angels came and lifted me
High up above the clouds to see
Another time, another space
Where love surrounds this holy place.

Remember me but do not grieve,
I’m happy now, you must believe.
So keep the faith although it’s hard
For you to go that extra yard.
I am at peace, I’ll say again
There is just sunshine here, no rain.
So live your lives so full and free
And maybe sometimes cry for me;
You’re only human proud and tall,
Whilst I’m an angel after all.

A MOTHER’S GRIEF

Hello, Old Friend,
Oh, yes, you know
I lost my child a while ago.
No, no please
Don’t look away
And change the subject
It’s ok.
You see, at first I couldn’t feel,
It took so long, but now it’s real.
I hurt so much inside you see
I need to talk,
Come sit with me?
You see, I was numb for so very long,
And people said, “My, she is so strong.”
They did not know I couldn’t feel,
My broken heart made all unreal.
But then one day, as I awoke
I clutched my chest, began to choke,
Such a scream, such a wail,
Broke from me…
My child! My child!
The horror of reality.
But everyone has moved on, you see,
everyone except for me.
Now, when I need friends most of all,
Between us there now stands a wall.
My pain is more than they can bear,
When I mention my child,
I see their blank stare.
“But I thought you were over it,”
Their eyes seem to say,
No, no, I can’t listen to this, not today.
So I smile and pretend, and say, “Oh, I’m ok”.
But inside I am crying, as I turn away.
And so my old friend, I shall paint on a smile,
As I have from the start,

Shara Stoner

EVERY TIME YOU FEEL...

THE WIND BLOW - THAT'S HER WAY OF HUGGING YOU FROM HEAVEN
THE RAIN FALL UPON YOU - THOSE ARE HER TEARS LETTING YOU KNOW SHE MISSES YOU TOO
THE SUNSHINE IN YOUR HAIR - THAT'S HER LETTING YOU KNOW SHE'S THERE

EVERY TIME YOU SEE...

THE CLOUDS - SHE'S SHADING YOU FROM THE SUN''S HARMFUL RAYS AS YOU ONCE SHADED AN D PROTECTED HER FROM HARM
YOUR REFLECTION - YOU CAN SEE HER DEEP IN YOUR HEART BECAUSE SHE'LL ALWAYS BE A PART OF YOU
A RAY OF SUN - IS HER HELPING GOD TO GUIDE YOU TO HAPPINESS (BECAUSE SHE'S HAPPY TO HAVE YOU AS A MOTHER)
A CANDLE FLICKER - THAT'S HER SMILING AT YOU

EVERY TIME YOU TASTE...

SOMETHING SWEET - THATS HER NEW WAY OF KISSING YOU

EVERY TIME YOU HEAR...

THE SONG YOU SANG TO HER THE MOST (WHILE YOU'RE ASLEEP) - THAT'S HER SINGING TO YOU
THE PRAYER THAT LEAVES YOUR LIPS BFORE BED - SHE'S PRAYING WITH YOU

EVERY TIME YOU SMELL...

A BEAUTIFUL SCENT - THAT IS HER MAKING HER PRESENCE KNOWN

AND EVERY TIME YOU READ THIS YOU'LL KNOW THAT THERE'S SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT CARES ABOUT YOU!

Dedicated to:
Crystal and her beloved daughter Melody

Probably my main and also most special memory of Melody, is once at Speedy and Geoff's Granny's house.  My little girl, Hannah (just a few months younger than her) were playing in the kitchen floor, eating crackers.  Melody and Hannah would take turns mashing the crackers into the floor and "share" the crumbs.  I miss her laugh and her bright, smiling face, and most of all, I miss having her here.  I know that Jesus has her wrapped up tightly in His arms and I know she is watching over her brothers and little sister always!  To Know Her Was To Love Her!!

We miss you baby girl,

Erin, Haley, and Hannah

Happy Birthday my dear, sweet Melody. I miss you so much everyday. I wish for you to be here with us. I would love to know what you would look like today and what new words you would have learned.

God chose to take you home to be with Him. I can't wait to get to Heaven to hold you again.  I love you and will never foget you.

Love,

Mommy Tabby
